Healthcare for Those Who Have None

In his late twenties, Andrew Kittelson had a life-altering encounter when he came across a man dying just outside a hospital. Upon speaking with the family, Andrew learned that the man couldn't afford the medical care he desperately needed. Moved to help, Andrew quickly gathered donations but tragically returned just as the man passed away.

This heart-wrenching experience led Andrew to establish Medfund, a nonprofit organization focused on providing essential medical and dental care—medications, hospital treatments, and preventative health services—to those who can't afford it.

Donations poured in, and Andrew began actively seeking out the sick and dying, determined to help. Today, Medfund is staffed by Bolivian volunteer doctors, nurses, and dedicated individuals, bringing critical healthcare to impoverished communities. The organization now ventures into remote jungles and hard-to-reach villages, delivering life-saving medical care to those in desperate need.
